Applications are open until 22 October for the Climate Smart Utilities Recognition Programme. In connection with the Water and Development Congress & Exhibition in Rwanda, this edition has a special focus on low- and middle-income countries.

We invite utilities operating in the Global South to apply. Applicants will be required to submit a narrative summarising their Climate Smart vision and key actions taken, especially considering how these relate to adaptation, mitigation and leadership.

All selected utilities will be recognised in a formal event during the Congress on 10-14 December 2023. The five most inspiring narratives will be invited for a presentation during the Congress and IWA will cover the travel costs for one representative for each selected utility to join.
